10th Anniversary Celebration of the Pèppoli at Pebble Beach

Ciao Amici (hello friends),

We are excited to announce the arrival of Marchese Piero Antinori, our partner at Pèppoli at Pebble Beach. Piero, legendary ambassador of Italian wines will be here visiting from his home in Florence, Italy and will be here to help celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Pèppoli Restaurant. While this is certainly just a fraction of the over 600-year history of the Antinori family wine empire, we are all very proud of this accomplishment. Piero will be joined by his renowned chef Cinzia Nenci, from the Antinori estate of Fonte de Medici.

Three wonderful events are planned and we hope you can join us to savor the cuisine and wines of Tuscany, meet Piero Antinori, one of the most influential figures of Italian winemaking, and enjoy the Tuscan-inspired ambience at Pèppoli (see details below).

Event #1: Thursday, February 4, 2010


Theme: “10 Years – 10 Wines”  (Tasting Seminar and Dinner)

Special Guest: Piero Antinori and Chef Cinzia Nenci

Piero Antinori will host a private tasting and dinner limited to 26 guests.  Begin with a private wine tasting seminar in the Board Room of 10 very special wines from Piero’s top Italian estates.  Following the tasting, Chef Arturo and visiting chef Cinzia will prepare a special five-course family-style dinner featuring the wines of Antinori’s Antica Napa Valley.  Piero Antinori will be seated at the head of the table and sharing his passion for Italian food and wine.

Location:         Private Tuscan Dining Room (Limited to 26 Guests)
Time:                 Board Room: Wine Tasting with Piero Antinori from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Tuscan Room: Dinner begins at 6:00 pm

Price:               $350. includes wine tasting event, dinner and all wines, also includes tax and gratuity.

Theme: “The Terriore of Umbria”

Special Guest: Chef Cinzia Nenci

In addition to Chef Arturo’s regular menu, visiting chef Cinzia will prepare a four-course tasting menu showcasing his creative cuisine from Umbria.  This special menu will be paired with wines from the estates of Castello della Sala and La Braccesca.  Chef Arturo and Cinzia will be in the dining room during the evening and available to visit with you.

Location:         Pèppoli Main Dining Room
Time:               Open seating from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm  (not banquet style seating)*

Price:               $65 prix-fix menu, $55 wine pairing (optional), plus tax and gratuity

Theme: “Under the Tuscan Moon”

Special Guest: Piero Antinori and Chef Cinzia Nenci

Please join us and savor the cuisine and wines of Tuscany and Umbria as chefs Arturo Moscoso and Cinzia will each prepare two original four-course prix-fixe dinners for you to choose from.  Each dish will be paired with an Antinori wine (priced separatley).  Piero Antinori will be in the dining room all evening to meet you and share his passion for all things “Italian”.  Our wine servers will be on hand to help you in selecting the perfect Antinori wine to compliment each course.
